Joe William Geer, Jr. 53, went to be with our Heavenly Father Sunday, June 29, 2014, after a long hard battle with liver disease. His wife, Dee (of 10 years), was by his side at his passing. Joe Jr. was born December 29, 1960 in 29 Palms, California to Joe William Sr. and Claudette Josephine Torbit Geer. He had two siblings Tammy and Greg. Joe was raised in California. He later moved to Idaho to be near his family. In 2005, he married the love of his life Dee McGown. Their love was one of a kind...like no other. Dee said, "We could count the pecks of every kiss, as long as there were at least 5!" Joe loved the outdoors. Fishing with his brother Greg was one of his favorite things to do. He also loved his family bon fires with the boys and taking time to "chill" and go camping. He loved NASCAR and was a faithful follower of the races. His favorite driver was Dael Earnhardt Jr. He also followed the races at the Meridian Speedway in Meridian. Joe leaves behind his wife Dee; children: Natasha (Ken), Don (Nicole), Kiley (Melissa) and Cody (Audrey); five beautiful grandchildren: Cheyenne, Josiah, Kaisley, Kashton, Alexia and Sophia; his parents Joe Sr., Claudette and Lynn (Pops) Kleckner; parents-in-law Bill and Dona McGown; his brother and sister and many aunts and uncles. He also had many other children that adopted him as their "Poppa Joe"! He was loved by many. His passing has caused a huge void in many lives. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 7 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd in Nampa. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 11 at 6525 E. Monica Ave in Nampa.
