Roy L. Voigt, Jr passed away peacefully at home on April 22, 2021 at 10:23 PM, surrounded by his loved ones after a long, extensive 11-year battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Leslie; son Christopher; his mother Joyce; and his brother Ray. He was preceded in death by his father Roy L Voigt, Sr. Roy was born on June 21, 1960 in Bay St. Louis, MS. He was the oldest child of Roy and Joyce Voigt. He grew up in New Orleans, LA and in his early twenties he served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Northern California. In 1985, Roy married Leslie Larson, who was the love of his life. They celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary in February. In 1995, they were blessed with a beautiful baby boy, Christopher James Voigt. Roy and Christopher were two peas in a pod and the very best of buddies. Roy had a vast variety of interests including education, traveling, magic and history. He had a thirst of knowledge which continued throughout his life. Roy was well known for his witty sense of humor. He loved to tease, tell jokes, and make people laugh. He was a good friend and found humor in life. He will be greatly missed.
