Alicia Olivarez Ramirez passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017 after her battle with Anti-NMDA Receptor Enchephalitis.Alicia Olivarez Ramirez was born on May 9, 1960, in Nyssa, Oregon to Juan Olivarez and Maria Eloisa Ramirez. She was raised by her foster mother Genevieve Santisteven along with her two brothers Juan Olivarez and Abel Olivarez in Nampa, Idaho. She attended Nampa High School. Alicia married Luis Ramirez at the young age of 19 and had 3 children.Alicia loved life and everything it had to offer, but the thing she loved more than life itself was her family and her friends. She absolutely loved to travel and was blessed to have visited so many places across the world. She was a collector of many sorts of things and always brought back gifts to all her friends from the places she had visited. She always loved to bring her family together for the holidays and family gatherings. She was best described as loving, selfless, hardworking, strong willed and compassionate. She spent 28 years of her life working for J.R. Simplot in Caldwell, Idaho until the plant closure in 2014. She also worked full time for the Nampa School district for 7 years. She was hired on at Amalgamated Sugar Company in 2015 from where she had hoped to retire.Alicia was very unfortunate to have acquired an autoimmune disease in February of 2017. She fought the disease for a long 10 months, but remained strong all the way until the end. She loved life so much and did not deserve what happened to her, but we'll never forget what she did for us in life, and how she always put a smile on our face. She is survived by her brothers:David Olivarez, Francisco Olivarez, Juan Olivarez, Abel Olivarez; daughter Angelita Ramirez; sons Luis Alberto Ramirez and Daniel Ramirez; and her lovely grandchildren whom she adored so much: Joel Nikolas Ramirez, Quentin Luis Ramirez, and Tyson Jon Flores; and by her foster mother Genevieve Santistevan; foster sisters Kathy Oviedo and family, Zulema Avis and family; and many more cousins and godchildren. We love you so much mom.
