Violet Jane Stanger

Violet Jane Stanger, 60, of Kuna passed away December 15, 2020 at a local hospital. Violet was born March 17, 1960 in Boise, Idaho to Charles Samuel and Elisabeth L. Frye Carver. She was the third child of eight in the Carver family. She grew up mainly in Marsing, Idaho. She attended school in Marsing and received her GED in Lake Havasu, Arizona. She lived out her life mainly in Arizona, Oregon and Idaho. Violet loved horseback riding, riding sandrails, and hiking the great outdoors with her family. She loved adventures. Before she became ill, she found much joy in camping and four wheeling with her grandkids and the family. She also loved wearing her flip-flops! It did not matter what time of year it was, she could always be found in flip-flops. Violet met James "Red" Welshire at the Tumbleweed Tavern in Eloy, Arizona and they were later married on August 10, 1997 in Bull Head, Arizona. After Red's passing Violet met Galen Stanger in Hansen, Idaho in 2004 and they were married June 1, 2007 in Kuna, Idaho. She was employed as a bar tender and worked as a nurse, but it was most said of her that she was a home maker for her family. She had such a loving, big heart. Everything was about the grandkids. She loved to play cards and dice games with the grandkids. She also enjoyed camping and spending time with her dogs. Violet was introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and became of member of The Church. She and her husband Galen were sealed in the Temple for time and all eternity. In her illness that truth has brought her and her family much comfort. She was preceded in death by her late husband James "Red" Welshire; her grandparents and parents; and a grandson James Welshire. She leaves behind her husband Galen Stanger; children Robert (Shannowa) Carver, Destiny Carver and Victoria Welshire; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 23, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 88 S. Happy Valley Road in Nampa with a viewing from 10:00 to 10:45 AM, prior to the services. Burial will take place in the Marsing-Homedale Cemetery.
