It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, and grandfather Mark Steven Fisher. He returned to his heavenly home on July 15 after a courageous battle with cancer. He fought hard for his life and his family that he loved so much. Mark was born on December 5, 1959 to William Henry Fisher and Janette Cole Fisher, the 4th of 6 children. He was born in Twin Falls, Idaho and spent most of his childhood in Buhl and Boise, Idaho. He graduated from Borah High School in 1978. He then served an LDS mission in Saint Louis, Missouri. Upon returning, he married the love of his life Rebecca Sue Brown in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He graduated from Brigham Young University and together he and Rebecca had 4 beautiful children; Rachael (Brett) Sundberg, Kyler (Madison), Jordan and Brady. Mark worked in the pharmaceutical industry for most of his career and was well known for his accomplishments in his field. At the time of his passing he was employed by Genentech Pharmaceuticals. His past employers include Bristol Meyers Squibb, Schering-Plough, and Sanofi-Aventis. Throughout his career he was well respected and developed many long lasting friendships. Mark spent his life in the service of others and our Father in Heaven. He served in several capacities throughout his life and loved his experiences as he served diligently in various callings in the church. He had many accomplishments through out his life, both personal and professional but his greatest was his family. He was so proud of his family and loved spending time with them. He loved to travel with his family and some of his greatest memories with them were from their time spent in Maui. He loved to walk the beach hand in hand with Becky, chase a good thunderstorm or take a long drive. Mark was respected and loved by everyone. He was a gentle man with high ideals and flawless integrity. People loved his infectious laugh and he made friends everywhere he went. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. It is a blessing to know that he is no longer suffering and we look forward to the day when we see him again. Mark was preceded in death by his brother Jon Scott, and his father William Henry Fisher. He is survived by his loving wife Rebecca; his four children; five grandchildren: Boston, Peyton, Lincoln, Taytum and Oakley; mother Janette Cole Fisher; siblings: Bill (Judy), Mike (Stacy), Barbara (Chuck), and Caroline; and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members. The family would like to thank family, friends, and the members of the Kuna 4th ward for their loving care for Mark and his family.
