Vicky Lynn Cates age 60 of Nampa Idaho, born to her parents Larry Hanel and Claudette Reed on January 31, 1958 in Twin Falls Idaho. Vicky passed away peacefully in her sleep of natural causes on June 10th 2018. Vicky is survived by her beautiful daughters Cassie Cates age 39 and Charvel Warren age 43, her sister Lori Spence of Nampa ID, Chris Ackerman of Henderson NV, and brother Darrin Shindle of Boise ID. As well as her ex-husband Gary Cates and her step father Patrick Shindle. We also would like to give a special thank you to Sam Mascarenas and all her neighbors for being there for her these last few years. Our mother was a very kind hearted women, she was loved by so many. She was a pool shark, gambler, loved going on drives, loved music, dancing, and Coca Cola. Most of all she loved her grandchildren Adrianna, Sativa, Gabriel, Kimberly, Delilah, Levi and Ezekiel. Our mother was so very special, a survivor and a fighter. She fought Paranoid Schizophrenia almost all her adult life and she was diagnosed with COPD a few years ago. Through all the struggles she was always there to love us unconditionally. Cassie and Vicky were always so close if Vicky saw it Cassie did too. They always loved the same things in life especially music and Coca Cola. We are thankful that she is now at peace and reunited with her mother and father in heaven. I love you mom always and forever! A celebration of life will be held Saturday the 16th at 10:30am at Zeyer Funeral Chapel 83 N Midland BLVD, Nampa ID 83651. Luncheon after at The Spence home
