Perry Michael Anzalone

Perry Michael Anzalone, 59, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2017. He was born January 14, 1958 in San Jose, California to Sabastino and Gertrude Anzalone, and was the youngest of five children. His roots began in the Bay Area, where he graduated from Washington High School in Fremont, California and later spent 18 years in the Central Valley before relocating to Nampa, Idaho in 2006. Perry was a beloved husband and best friend to his one and only love, Georgina Anzalone. Neither Perry or Gina could have predicted their fate the night each of them ended up in the same bar. How could either of them know that from that night on they would spend the next 37 years together? After that night, Perry called Gina so much that he swept her off her feet with his captivating charm and witty sense of humor. From their younger wilder days to their more recent activities of golf and sewing, two things remained consistent; Perry's smart *** comments and their unconditional love for one another. He was loyal, faithful and devoted to his wife. Every morning he would kiss her forehead. He showered her with roses and jewelry. Together they were blessed with two children, and four grandchildren. He would tell everyone their kids got their looks from him because Gina still had hers! They were always in communication and called each other on the way home from work. He always put family first and was very proud of his children. Perry enjoyed attending all his children and grandchildren's events, and teaching them how to play golf. In his younger years, he developed a love for baking. His baking career began at Safeway in Lafayette, California working for his best friend's dad. During this time, he completed a three year bakers apprenticeship in a little over two years, moving up to assume management position at the age of 22. He was with Safeway for 11 years, and learned the ropes of managing staff and how to lead a successful bakery. This helped prepare him for his next career move to Costco, where he opened the first bakery in California, and second bakery for the entire company. He contributed to many product developments using his own recipes such as the Costco Muffins. Perry was a devoted 29-year Costco employee. Every May he was dedicated to raising money for the Children's Miracle Network. Throughout his Costco career, he opened three new warehouses in Fremont, Modesto and the last one being in Nampa, Idaho. He always had a drive to learn more, and accepted new opportunities when they were presented. This allowed him to move from Bakery operations to the Front End as a Front End Supervisor, and later moving to work out at the Costco Gas Station. He found fulfillment working at the gas station because he was able to interact with the members more and his early schedule allowed him to play a round of golf after work. Perry was a passionate golfer, avid Raider fan, relished fantasy football, and lover of Tequila. He became motivated to improve his golf game, and was convinced that practice by playing was his ticket to success. The initiation of "Man's Week" began when Perry embarked a yearly marathon week of golf with closest friends. When not out on the golf course, Perry loved to relax in his man cave. He was proud of his Tequila collection, having close to 50 different types, but Don Pilar being his ultimate favorite. He may have been stubborn, but he was one of the greatest, funniest, warmest, life-loving man you would have ever met. He brightened the lives of many people with his presence, smile, generosity, and his trademark sense of humor. He enjoyed the company of family and friends, and loved to tell stories and jokes. He was great at turning a one-minute story into a ten-minute story because he really enjoyed a great punch line. To many, he was a constant source of encouragement and inspiration in both the brightest and darkest times, and quite simply the most important person in the world. Perry is survived by his wife, Georgina Anzalone; his children: Rian Anzalone, Katie Anzalone, Trisha Catti and Dominic Catti; his grandchildren: Mia, Michael, Anthony and Matthew; his siblings: Candy, Joey, Shelly and Jimmy; and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. His parents, Sabastino and Gertrude Anzalone, precede him in death. Memorial services will be held at 1p.m. on August 5, 2017 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa Idaho. A celebration of life will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Perry Anzalone's name to: Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, 205 West 700 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84101
