Jeffrey Knowles, an amazingly talented musician, loving father, and a career backhoe operator, with a specialty in environmental gas line location, died on March 08, 2021 at the age of 64 in Nampa, ID. Jeffrey is survived by his daughter, Emarene Knowles; and his ex-wife, Christania Floyd. Jeffrey was born in California August 01, 1956. When he was a child he lived all over the world from Australia to Hawaii. He dropped out of school at age 15 to play music in a band. That band later became, Afton, and toured all over The States including Alaska. He was an amazing bass player, guitar player, and extremely talented singer and songwriter. He could play almost every instrument besides the drums and was one of the few that could hear a song on the radio and figure out how to play it without looking at the written music. September 1980 was when he married the only woman he had married, Christania Hull. In 1986 they had an only child, a daughter, Emarene Knowles which he stated was one of the best days of his life. He spent many years of his life being a family man, which he loved very much, and throughout those years he was a professional backhoe operator in Seattle and Las Vegas. All throughout that time he never gave up on his dream to play music. Playing in underground bands, cover bands, including an Eagles cover band and continuing to write his own music. He would often say he would be an old man up there on the stage and we would have to drag him off once he got too old to do it anymore, and that is exactly what he did in a way. He played music live even after his first surgery and continued to play until he physically could not anymore.Even though he was a music man, truly, he enjoyed not only music but many things like hiking; his dog, Gimli; he loved chess and card games; he loved just being a part of life. He loved animals and had a deep compassion for them. He always adopted his dogs and never wanted a pure bred. He spent many of his days walking with Gimli at his side. He had a great sense of humor. He loved laughter and making people laugh. He was a Christian and through the end years of his life his faith became even stronger. In the end he was a warrior, he never complained and was always positive about every day. He would say every day was a blessing, so long as he woke to experience another. He was an amazing person and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him and all whose heart he touched.Celebration of life services are scheduled for 2:00pm on March 19, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland in Nampa, ID. 208-467-7300
