Larry Lester Wiederich

Larry L. Wiederich 66, December 5, 1954-August 5, 2021, Caldwell, ID Beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away surrounded by family on August 5, 2021. Larry was born on December 5, 1954, to Leo Wiederich and Bernice Junkert Wiederich in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He was the third of four children. Larry graduated in 1973 from Central High School in Aberdeen. He worked at the Dakota Farmer. Larry married Patricia Kent in October of 1973. They welcomed a daughter, Jennifer in 1974 and a son, Ryan in 1977. The family left South Dakota in January 1979 for Boise, ID, where they raised their children. Larry and PJ divorced in 1985 but remained close friends until his death. Larry was a Master Printer by trade, working for various Printing companies in the Treasure Valley: Syms-York, Northwest Printing and I/D/E/A. Larry was a hard worker and instilled a good work ethic in his children. He didn't do anything halfway. At one time, Larry moved to Prescott, AZ where he opened his own print shop. This had been his dream and he was so proud. He eventually returned to Idaho when he could no longer be on his feet all day. Larry was a Champion race car driver, racing at Super Oval Speedway and later at Meridian Speedway. He was mechanically inclined and taught his son to work on cars as well. He was an excellent bowler and bowled league. Larry was an avid dart player, playing league darts. He could often be found at home honing his skill, playing darts with his kids and friends. It was a rare feat to beat him at a game of darts. He rode horses until he couldn't anymore. He took great pride in his house and his yard. In his younger years, he loved to hunt (bow and gun), 4- wheel drive in his truck, work on his race cars, and he loved to play softball and water ski. He loved his music and he loved it loud. Always the jokester. These are the things that Larry would like you to remember about him. Larry is survived by his mother, Bernice Wiederich; ex-Wife, Patricia Kent Giles; daughter, Jennifer (Brett) Sayles; son, Ryan (Suzie) Wiederich; granddaughters: Sidney Chavez, Avery Sayles and McKenna Sayles; grandsons, Austin Wiederich and Joseph Wiederich; great-grandson, Ellison Sayles; brothers, Cleo (Joyce) Wiederich, Leon Wiederich; sister, Shirley (Stan)Burgers; nephews; Shaun, David, Aaron; nieces: Rebecca, Angela, Sonya, Laura and Nici.
