Marty Stapleton lost his fight with Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy, he passed away at home on November, 2, 2016. Marty was born March 11, 1951 in Nampa, Idaho to Harry and Betty Stapleton. He was the second oldest of seven children. He was raised in Nampa. Marty was a hard-working man. He worked for The Amalgamated Sugar Company for 27 years until he had to retire. Marty enjoyed the great outdoors. He loved to go camping, fishing and hunting. He had a son Derek Stapleton from his first marriage. Marty met Hilary and they married in Nampa on September 27, 1980. She brought to their new family her two kids Tammy and Shane and later they had a daughter together Tiffany Stapleton. Hilary and Marty shared 36 wonderful years together. Hilary took care of Marty up to the very end, tending to his every need. Marty loved his family more than anything. He was not only a son, a brother and father but he was a grandpa and great-grandpa. His grandkids: Kymberly Strum (Brooks), Michael Brooks and Joel Aguirre and his three great-grand babies: Kylee, Ohrayliha, and Azaria were his joys. He loved spending as much time with them as he could. His loss will be greatly felt by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife Hilary; his three children: Tammy (Jock) Mowery, Shane Brooks and Tiffany (Gilbert) Dominguez; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his dad Harry Stapleton; siblings Ben and Kelli, Parkie and Noni, Laura and Butch, Jan and Scott, Patty and Aloise. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Stapleton; brother Matt Stapleton; and his son Derek Stapleton. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 8 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd in Nampa.
