They were married on May 4, 1973 in the Inkom, Idaho chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Bonnie's hometown. One year later, on May 4, 1974, they were sealed for Time and Eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As newlyweds, Bonnie and Kirk were both students at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. Kirk completed a one-year architecture program and Bonnie took general education classes and dental hygiene training. Following their time at ISU, Kirk joined the Idaho National Guard and served in that military branch for 31 years. They moved from Pocatello and lived in Burley from 1979 through 1985, when they relocated to Nampa, Idaho, where they raised their four children. They moved to Kuna in 2019 to be nearer their children and grandchildren.Bonnie's greatest calling, accomplishment, and joy in life was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She also found great joy in serving in the Church throughout her life. When the children were younger Bonnie loved her calling as a Cub Scout leader for her three sons and boys in the Church, and in her last seven years she and Kirk served as temple workers in the Boise Idaho Temple.Bonnie is survived by her kind and patient husband, Robert Kirk, and their four children: Jeremy Kirk (Bernadette), Derek Otto (Amy), Tyson Willis (Becki), and Kaidie Steadman (Austin); Bonnie's siblings Leo Lewis (Bonnie), Sharon Lewis Koho (Bill), and Duane Lewis (Julie); and her ten beloved grandchildren: Kaden, Coby, Tanner, Beiley, Alayna, Isaac, Maren, Kristen, Kinzie, and Kelsie. She was preceded in death by a fifth child, Lucille Kay, a still-born angel baby delivered on May 29, 1985. The family finds great joy that Bonnie and her precious Lucy are together at last. The Beck and Lewis families wish to thank all who have shown such wonderful sympathy and compassion with visits, help, and comfort, and generous donations of food and offers to help. We are all deeply grateful and touched by your love.
