Larry always wanted to build an airplane. It began in the garage in Kuna and was completed at the Sky Park. It took eleven years to complete his RV-8. He was a meticulous and careful builder. Most of Larry's working life was spent as a diesel mechanic. He worked at Ida-Cal Freight Lines, then started a partnership at Truck Masters of Idaho. After selling the Truck Masters business, he worked at Country Repair and also as a rural mail carrier. Larry was a member of the Murphy-Reynolds-Wilson Fire Department, where he volunteered for many years. Larry was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served many years in scouting. He taught 11-year-old boys in Primary. He served as Stake Sunday School President and High Priest Group Leader.
