Kim W. Long, 66, of Nampa passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 at a local care center due to complications of diabetes and kidney failure. He was born December 3, 1949 in San Francisco (as he always said, on the bridge), California to LaVaughn Russell and Donna Jean Goodrich Long. He married LuJean Brown in Roy, Utah in 1972. Kim graduated from Rutherford High School (Panama City, Florida) in 1968. He served in the USAF from 1968 - 1988. He retired at Loring AFB in Maine as a 100% disabled Viet Nam Veteran. Kim loved football, especially the Miami Dolphins. He played football in Germany with the Air Force Team from 1973 to 1975. He worked at Micron in Boise and retired from the Postal service in 2005. On his "bucket list" was to drive a tractor and that desire was filled on a big John Deere. Kim never met a stranger. He always had a joke or a story to tell. He loved to play golf, ride his 4-wheeler but his family was most important to him. Kim is survived by his wife of 43 years LuJean; daughters Cassey Ann (Steve) Haines and Carri Lynn (Kevin) Johnson and their families; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his siblings Bonnie (Jerry) Cosgray and Jimmy (Marie) Long, both of Panama City, Florida. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Febraury 18, at the Melba Second Ward LDS Chapel, 112 Randolph Ave in Melba. Arrangements are under the direction of Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa. 467-7300 Condolences may be expressed at zeyerfuneralchapel.comService: Thursday, February 18, 201611:00 a.m.Melba Second Ward LDS Chapel112 Randolph AvenueMelba, Idaho
