Dolores Lopez PantojaApril 11, 1949 to March 26, 2022Dolores "Lolo" Lopez Pantoja passed away on March 26, 2022, in Melba, Idaho, of natural causes. He was born April 11, 1949, in San Antonio de los Lopez, Pinos, Zacatecas, Mexico, to his parents Dolores Lopez and Rosa Pantoja.He was the second oldest of six children: four sisters Guadalupe, Marcelina, Micaela, and Mercedes and his brother Martin. He was married to Natalie Meza Lopez for eighteen years. He was a proud father of Ma. Magdalena Zambrano, Tony Scott, Alex Scott, Merced Lozano, and Marisela Lopez, and grandfather of Carlos, Diego, Ramiro, Christian, Dominik, Maybeline, Jayden, Selena, Cynthia, Ezequiel, Daniela, Angel, and Izabella. He loved and lived for his family.Dolores worked for Jaca Livestock for 44 years on Reynolds Creek in Murphy, Idaho, as a ranch hand, where he was known as someone who carried his own weight and took pride in his work. He was extremely well known throughout the valley as a hard-working, detail-oriented employee. He loved the ranch and being outdoors. He loved buckarooing, mending fences, herding cattle, horseshoeing, and branding. He had a natural ability to train horses and loved doing it. He trained his favorite horses Riley, Monkey, and Negro by tapping them and they would stretch out low so Dolores could mount easily. He spent much of his time grazing cattle as far as Silver City, Wagon Town, and Jordon Valley. But on Sundays he would come down off the mountain to see his kids and grandkids, talking and playing with them. They all loved their dad and grandpa. They felt he paid attention to them.He had a reputation for caring about everyone and putting others first. Folks knew that he would give you the shirt off his back. He was a friendly guy and had a good sense of humor.Dolores was preceded in death by his parents, Dolores Lopez and Rosa Pantoja. He is survived by his children, grandchildren and brother and sisters. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten, and forever in our hearts.There will be a viewing for the immediate family at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N. Midland Boulevard, Nampa, Idaho, on Wednesday, March 30, from 3 to 5 p.m. The Rosary will be held on Thursday, March 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Friday, April 1, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 510 W Roosevelt Avenue, Nampa, Idaho. Burial will be immediately following in the Melba Cemetery, Melba, Idaho.
