Sandra Kay Schneider passed away on the morning of December 11, 2018 with her daughter Angela and her close friends by her side. Sandy was born on April 9, 1949, in Van Nuys, California to George and Medora Schneider. She attended Brigham Young University where she was a member of the Ballroom Dance Team. Dance and music were an important part of her life. She taught dance -Ballroom and country line dancing--and shared that love of dance with her daughter, Angela. In addition to music, Sandy loved horses and horseback riding and proudly rode in the Rose Bowl Parade several years. She loved life and she loved people. It could be said that Sandy never met a stranger as she continued to reach out to others and form lasting friendships until the end of her life.Much of Sandy's business career was centered in the insurance industry. Following that, she spent the last 20 years as a retail representative for a candy company. She was fondly known as "The Candy Lady" by the Primary children and she never let the children down. There was always candy!Sandra loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One of the highlights of her gospel life was the time she spent serving in the temple. She truly lived her life as a true disciple of the Savior and searched for ways to serve those around her.Sandra's warm smile and loving heart will be missed by her daughter, Angela Kay (Robert Nichols, fiance); and all her friends. Preceding her in death were her parents George and Medora Schneider; and her sister Jeanne Brown.Sandy requested that no funeral service be held. A viewing will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 15 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd, Nampa. (208-467-7300) Graveside services and interment will take place at 2PM, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 S. State St. in Provo, UT. Sandy's close friends and family are invited to attend.
