Paul Ray Romer, 67, of Nampa, Idaho passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his family. Paul was born on February 21, 1949 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Ray and Elaine Romer. He met and married the love of his life, Patricia Ashley Peterson, in the Oakland California LDS Temple for Time and Eternity. He loved being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had great love for his Heavenly Father and the Savior, Jesus Christ. He served with untiring faith where ever he was needed. He loved his family and had a family motto "No Empty Chairs". He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. When he played the piano, he brought a special spirit in to his home. He was a good man; a man of great faith. Paul recently retired after 31 years with Mission Linen Company, in California's central valley. He looked forward to enjoying his retirement, fishing and being with family. He will be greatly missed by those who love him; until we meet again. He is survived by his wife Patricia; his father Ray Romer; brother Craig; children: Donald, Bobbi (Ted), Carrie (Dave), Paul Aaron (Brandy), Keith (Michelle), Ethan, Mark (Heidi), Lindsey (Alabe) and Adam (Misty); 31 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Elaine Romer; brother Scott Romer; son Stephen Peterson; and grandson Daniel Roberts. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 13, at the LDS Chapel located at 11288 Roosevelt Ave in Nampa, Idaho. Family and friends will be greeted from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 15862 S. Indiana Ave in Caldwell, Idaho.
