The world lost a beautiful soul and bright spirit this last fall. It is with great sorrow that I write to you that Terri Anne Wolske, 68, of Nampa, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She made the decision to say "good-bye" to her loved ones, following a stroke that left her with the inability to swallow after battling dementia for over 4 years. Throughout it all - she never complained and never asked "Why me?" She was a very strong woman and she did it her way to the end. Terri Anne Fey was born November 3, 1948 to Dr. Harold and Eileen Fey in Everett, Washington. She has two siblings, an older sister Kay Karen and her "Baby Brother" Tom. She spent most of her childhood years in Everett, except for a year that she lived in Philadelphia when her father went there for oral surgery training and 6 mos in Portland, Oregon while her father was finishing school in New York. Terri was brought up as a devout Seventh Day Adventist and held onto her faith till the end. She graduated from Auburn Adventist Academy in 1966. She then continued her education at Walla Walla College in Washington. It was while studying there, that she met the man that would become the love of her life, and devoted husband - Gary Wolske. Terri loved Gary so much, she made the decision to end her studies in pursuit of their family. They were married in Everett, Washington on September 7, 1969 in front of their family and friends. They had two children. Their son Tyler who was born in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and their daughter Traci who was born in Nampa. She loved her family most of all. She loved being a mother. She always had pictures to show her friends and family of her children and brag of their accomplishments and events. She was extremely proud of her kids and wanted others to know it too. Terri was many things to many people. She was a very bright spirit, spunky, sweet, nurturing, loving, fun-loving, and at times a mischievous soul. However, the one trait that stands out in my mind of my mother is that she was selfless. Terri was always one that people would refer to as a special kind of friend. She would go out of her way to brighten someone's day. She did little things for her family and friends that meant so much to them. She always paid attention to the details. She was quite honestly AMAZING as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, business woman, and grandmother. You could often find her putting together some little or large care package to send off to her family or friends. She would always pick up things where she went that someone else would love. She was always thinking of others. She had many talents and hobbies and often used them to help other people. She LOVED photography!! She took pictures of everything and everyone. She was never without a camera. She even sold some of her pictures in the shoppe, as cards. She loved cooking - especially for family. She loved singing and was very talented at it. She had a beautiful singing voice. She was artistic and creative, she could draw, paint, and write. She was good at a lot of things, and was always up for trying new ones. She enjoyed traveling especially with her family. When her daughter graduated from Basic Training, Terri made the trip south to be there for her. She made a trip with her son to France and witnessed him proposing to his now wife Suzan. She traveled to Arkansas to meet her first grandchild Challen Wolske after he was born. Terri loved her grandkids and even her "grandpups"," grandkitties", and "grandbird". She did not get to see her grandchildren often, as they lived out of state, but it did not keep her from talking about them, sending things off to them in those little or large care packages, and looking forward to speaking to them on the phone when they received the packages to hear what they thought and how their weeks had gone. She always looked forward to those calls the most. She had two grandchildren her grandson Challen Wolske and her grand-daughter Tylynn Wolske. She loved being their Gramma-T!! Another love of her life and passion was Garitty's Custom Jewelry and Repair Shop. She was a very savvy business woman. She always strived to support Gary in all he did or wanted to do. She saw the potential in his hobby of jewelry making, and worked to make it a business. She would find the clients that could benefit from Gary's talents, and would bring the job orders back to him. There were times that Gary was not sure that he could do what was being asked of him, but Terri would just say "yes you can" and they would figure it out. With more orders and clients, a business was born. It was named after the family beagle that Terri had named - "Garitty's". If it were not for Terri seeing the potential and helping to nurture her husband and business, it would never have existed. Terri was the face of Garitty's. Their clients and friends could stop in the little store down on 1st St. So., and they would be greeted by a warm smile, shining blue eyes, and a big heart from behind the counter. She always had a smile for everyone and a desire to help them create whatever memory/memento they needed. Downtown Nampa will never be the same without her. Terri was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gary Wolske; her son Tyler (Suzan) Wolske and their children Challen and Tylynn; her daughter Traci Wolske; her Sister Kay Karen Spencer and her "Baby Brother" Tom Fey; and numerous loving relatives and friends. A memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd in Nampa. Condolences may be expressed at zeyerfuneralchapel.com.
