Stephen "Steve" LeRoy Clark, 67, passed away on June 1, 2015, at his home in Nampa, Idaho. He was born on May 18, 1948 in Altadena, California to Edna (Thorne) & Robert Clark. With his passing we are reminded that life is to be celebrated, and we find peace in knowing he is no longer in pain. Although we will miss him very much, he will forever remain in our hearts and memories. He was raised in Southern California, graduating high school at the age of 15 with a perfect SAT score and the IQ of a "high-genius." He attended Notre Dame, and enlisted into the United States Army in 1966. In the beginning of July 1967, he met the love of his life, Constance Arlene Barbish. They were married on July 31, 1967 after only 3 short weeks of knowing each other. He was a generous man with a love for life. Competitive to no end, he strived to be the best in everything he did. He loved his family and always tried to provide them with the very best in life from camping, boating and fishing to showing world champion horses, and traveling the entire United States. He had a love and passion for playing poker, with countless tournament wins, including playing at the World Series of Poker. He loved animals and his pets throughout his life (dogs, cats, exotic birds, and even monkeys), so many, yet each individually special to him. He enjoyed his conversations with his sister Linda in Oregon, and playing online chess with his brother Don in Arizona. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 48 years, Constance "Connie" Clark; his brother Don and his sister Linda; his three children: Michael, Donald, and Crystal; his daughters in-law Tina and Jennifer and son in-law Mark; 11 grandchildren, 5 great- grandchildren, and many more family & friends. His love will remain for us all until we meet again! Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 12, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd in Nampa, (208-467-7300), followed by a procession to Dry Creek Cemetery, 9600 Hill Road in Boise, Idaho (by the Veterans Cemetery).
