Virginia Marez

Virginia Santistevan Marez, 75, of Nampa went to be with our Heavenly Father on January 20, 2023, at home with her true love by her side, and her family near. Virginia was born April 10, 1947, to John and Frances Santistevan in Nampa, Idaho. Virginia was such a loving and caring sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She loved spending time with her family. She loved cooking and baking, especially baking holiday cookies for Les Schwab Tire Centers and other clients of hers. Virginia married her true love and soul mate Henry Marez on June 7, 1964, and made their home in Nampa, Idaho. Virginia gave birth to three beautiful children: Alex, Danny, and Lisa Marez, whom brought so much joy to her heart. She also was so blessed with two wonderful grandchildren, Adam Marez and Briana Marez Burr. Virginia also was blessed with a great-grandson, Alex James Burr, who filled her heart with so much joy and pride. Although losing Virginia has left a huge void in our hearts, we will find comfort in knowing that she is with our Heavenly Father and Savior, dancing with loved ones and the angels in heaven. Virginia is survived by her true love Henry Marez; one son Danny Marez (Sabre Mayers); one daughter, Lisa Marez (John McMillan); one grandson, Adam (Rachelle) Marez; one granddaughter, Briana (David) Burr; two step grandchildren, Izack McMillan, and Allison Mayers; one great grandson, Alex James Burr; one brother, Ruben (Carol) Santistevan; six sisters: Genevieve Santistevan, Elenore (Clemente) Salinas, Roselee (Jose) Barreiro, Betty Negrette, Vernalee (Rene) Hernandez, Patricia Mendez; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents John and Frances Santistevan; her beloved son and angel Alex John Marez; one sibling, David Gene Santistevan; her grandfather and grandmother Jose and Sendia Lopez; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Alex Marez; along with numerous family members. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Thursday, February 2, at Lutheran Brethren Church located at 730 W Roosevelt Ave in Nampa. (Conducted by Pastor Jeremy Wilson) A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday, February 1 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd in Nampa and again from 11 to 11:45 AM, at the church prior to the services.
