Dennis Edward Echols

Dennis Edward Echols, our beloved husband and father, died on December 20, 2019 from complications incident to a stroke. He is survived by his wife Pennie Clements Echols; daughters: Tamara (late Kyle) Knowles of Utah, Tiffany (Chris) Boyles of Tennessee, Tessa (Richard) Parrish of Idaho, Teryn (Kawiti) Finlayson of Utah; and son, Trent (Teradee) Echols of Idaho. He had 10 grandsons and 7 granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his father Roy Echols; and his mother Thelma Sullivan Echols. He had 3 sisters: Sharon (Wynn) Ferrell of Florida, Deborah (Gil) English of Utah, and Alesia Echols of Florida. Dennis was born and raised in the area outside of Atlanta, Georgia. He worked tirelessly in all jobs he had, beginning at his family grocery store. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Western States Mission. He served his country in the USA Naval Reserves and 2.5 years in Taiwan. He retired after 35 years with the Bell Corp as a technician and manager in Atlanta, GA and in Nashville, TN. Dennis served in many church callings. His greatest calling was as a husband and father. He and Pennie were sealed in the L.A. LDS Temple on June 8, 1974. His 5 children loved him dearly. His devotion to his wife and children was evident throughout his life. He always testified of the glorious truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and his faith never wavered. We are thankful for the knowledge that we will be reunited as a family once again. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd in Nampa, with a viewing from 10:00 to 11:15 AM prior to the services. Interment will be at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 Horseshoe Bend Rd in Boise, Idaho.
