Arlene Gail GardnerArlene Gail Gardner, age 74, passed away peacefully November 12, 2021 in Nampa Idaho. She was born October 24, 1947 in Nampa, Idaho to Bill and Ethel Rippee. Arlene was preceded in death by her brother Clinton Rippee in 1974, her mother Ethel Rippee in 2003 and father Bill Rippee in 2005.Although Arlene's extensive family mostly lives in the Ozarks of Missouri, Arlene grew up in the Northwest, living in Washington, Oregon, California and Idaho all before she turned sixteen. No matter where she went, she always came home to the Northwest. Arlene was married to Richard Eugene Deuel on June 14, 1969 in California. They met in Switzerland while Arlene was working at a resort in the Alps and Richard was stationed overseas with the Air Force. Arlene and Richard corresponded until meeting again in California where they were wed. They had three children. Arlene loved to travel and did so frequently. During the course of her life, she visited many foreign countries and almost all of the fifty U.S. states. Her favorite however was Italy. She loved Italian food, music and culture. Although she was of Irish and German descent, had you asked her she would have told you she was full-blooded Italian. Known as Nonna to her grandkids, Arlene loved to spoil them at every opportunity. Candy, clothes, you name it. If they wanted it, they got it. She had pictures everywhere in her home that displayed her love for kids and grandkids alike. For many years Arlene worked as a secretary at several Christian schools her children attended. She mostly did this to keep an eye on her kids (Nathan and Jeremy especially) but also because she was good at it. Arlene had an affinity for good preaching and her two favorites were Lester Roloff and Jack Trieber. As one who had placed her faith in Jesus Christ, Arlene passed away knowing she was going to be with her Lord and Savior. Her desire was that others would have the same certainty. Arlene is survived by her three children: Nathan Deuel, Sarah (Wade) Gardner and Jeremy (Kristy) Deuel and her four grandchildren Katelyn, Reagan, Cooper and Aubrey.
