Susan K. McReynolds, 69, of Nampa passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening June 17, 2017. She had been living at Holly Lane Health and Rehab in Nampa the last 13 years. She was born June 21, 1947, the youngest child of Merle & Ferne (Dona) McReynolds. She was a beautiful baby but soon developed physical challenges that continued her entire life. Susan and her mother were inseparable until Ferne's death in 2012. Susan was a member of Nampa First Baptist Church over 40 years and often sang special hymns for the congregation. She memorized every church member's birthday and sent cards until she lost her eye sight. She loved to talk on the phone and memorized many phone numbers. Until her death she called her brother Kenny, cousin Wayne, and niece Sherry several times every week - phone calls that will be greatly missed! Her passions in life were attending weekly church and bible study services, watching Lawrence Welk every Saturday night, wearing "bright or blingy" clothes and visiting with her family. She is survived by her brother and his wife, Kenny and Peggy McReynolds; nieces Sherry Thayn and Kim Rice; nephews Guy Thomas and Kelly McReynolds; and numerous great nieces and great nephews. Special thanks to Wayne Palmer and Sherry Thayn who visited and talked to Susan often; Georgia Love (sister-in-law) who sent Susan cards for every occasion; and especially Jolene Crosby, Susan's favorite nurse and friend at Holly who was Susan's guardian angel!Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 28 at Cloverdale Cemetery, 1200 N. Cloverdale Rd in Boise. Arrangements by Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa. 208-467-7300 Condolences may be expressed at zeyerfuneralchapel.com
