Samuel Lee Longstreet

Samuel Lee Longstreet, passed away at home with the love of his family and friends around him at the age of 71. Sam was born February 21, 1947 to Sherman David and Helen E. (Stacey) Longstreet in Cascade, Idaho. He met Kathy Lee Reel in December of 1988 and they were married July 4, 1992. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Sam was greatly loved by his family and friends and would make new friends every day. People loved him. Sam had a great love for his Indian motorcycle, his dog and radios, most of all he loved his family and friends. He had an amazing talent for story-telling about his life experiences. In his school years he was known for working on the school movie projectors. His school mates still recall how he repaired and ran the projectors. Sam had a drive to learn about electronics and repairing them, including TVs. He learned much of his skill through a school program which enabled him to work part time for Carl Martin at Martin's TV Repair, and there he learn more of the trade. In the 70's he became the owner of Martin's TV Repair. Sam was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Thelma Julian; and his son Samuel Longstreet Jr. He is survived by his wife Kathy; his children: Sally Russon, Tammy Kalmar and Paul Longstreet; brother David Longstreet and sister Ella Riddle.
