On Saturday, April 17, 2021, Linda Bushman Hale, loving wife and mother of four children, passed away at age 74 from complications related to COVID-19. Linda was born on May 21, 1946 in Kanab, UT to Harold and Nita (Whiting) Bushman. She grew up in Fredonia, AZ and Albuquerque, NM. She attended school at Uni Church College of Hawaii (now Brigham Young University-Hawaii) in Laie, HI, and Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. Later she returned to earn her Master's Degree in Special Education at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. On January 24, 1968, she married Ronald Hale in the Mesa Arizona Temple. They raised four children together, Renae, Kimberly, Erika, and Jeffrey. Ron Hale was an officer in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. With the army they moved frequently, but Germany and Hawaii were the locations dearest to Linda. Linda had a passion for teaching. She worked in education her entire career. She was known as an exemplary teacher by parents and former students alike. After earning her Master's Degree, she worked in Special Education the remainder of her career. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in a number of volunteer and leadership positions, including serving as Relief Society President for several periods. Linda also enjoyed crafts, such as toll painting, needlework, and cake decorating. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Ron, her father, Harold, her mother, Nita, and two siblings, Harold Earl, Jr. and Nita. She is survived by her children, Renae Hale, Kimberly Hale, Erika (Michael) Buchanan, Jeffrey (J Dee) Hale, and 9 grandchildren, as well as her sister, Kathy (Tom) Bogart. The burial will be performed on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Groveland Cemetery at 1 o'clock p.m. For friends and family who are unable to attend the service, a ZOOM link has been provided.
