Alta Maye Elliott, 70, of Nampa, Idaho passed away following a short illness on 27 March 2017. Alta Maye was in the company of her loving family at the time of her death. She was born in Nampa on 10 May 1946 to Sylvester Lincoln and Ruth Mable Elliott. Alta Maye was a loving woman with an infectious personality. Her love for life was only surpassed by her love for her family. Alta's favorite activities included dancing, swinging in her chair, bowling, karaoke, competing in the Special Olympics and spending time with the ones she loved. Alta Maye was a bright woman, whose devotion to learning was evident in her commitment to the Gem State Developmental Center where she studied for over 20 years.Alta Maye leaves behind three brothers: Stanley Elliott (Rockland, Idaho), Mark Elliot (Nampa, Idaho), Lawrence and his wife, Linda Elliott (Pocatello, Idaho); three sisters: Peggy and her husband Gary Payne (Nampa, Idaho), Gladys Fisher (Nampa, Idaho) and Betty and her husband Bruce Addington (Boise, Idaho). She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Keith and John Elliott; brothe-in-law Jim Fisher; and niece Pam Elliott.The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Jo Bohling for her unwavering dedication and love she exhibited to Alta over the last 20 plus years. Her love and support for all things Alta ensured Alta was free to shine like the star she was. The family would also like to thank the Doctors and Nursing staff at St. Alphonsus Hospital's Intensive Care Unit, in Nampa. The professionalism and loving care provided to Alta during her last days exceeded everyone's expectations, and for this we are truly grateful.
