Robert LeRoy Graves

Robert LeRoy Graves was born to Robert H Graves and Alta Hamilton Graves on August 11, 1945. He was raised on the family farm in Wilder Idaho and graduated from Wilder High School in 1963. He soon married and shortly after welcomed his first-born child, Taunya, into the world. Later in the early 80's he remarried and welcomed two additional children into the world, Robert and Sierra. He worked as a farm implement painter for many years and became very skilled in the profession. He painted implements, tractors, trailers, trains, and vehicles during his career. His most prized achievement was that of becoming a licensed pilot. He received his pilot's license in 1974 and loved every minute in the air. Planes and aviation were a lifelong passion and as a young man he would fly all over the treasure valley; often accompanied by his five-year-old daughter Taunya. He enjoyed air shows, car shows, drag races, shooting sports and performance mechanics. He enjoyed a full life with cherished family and friends. Prior to being diagnosed with cancer he spent his time traveling and enjoying adventures with the love of his life Lila. Lila passed away in 2022 and their final resting place will be side by side just as they enjoyed their time together. He was preceded in death by his parents Alta and Robert; numerous uncles, aunts and loved ones. He is survived by his brother William Graves; his children: Taunya, Robert, Sierra; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 28 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens located at 15862 Indiana Avenue in Caldwell, Idaho.
