Elaine May WoodsElaine May Lindsey was born on April 21, 1945 in Grangeville, Idaho. She was the 8th of 8 children born to her father, Thomas Joseph Lindsey, and her mother, Emily Anna (Storr) Lindsey. She was raised in White Bird, Idaho where she attended grade school before graduating from Grangeville High School in 1963. She then attended Link's School of Business in Boise where she received an Executive Secretarial diploma in 1964. Elaine married Edward Hubert Woods on September 5, 1965. They had three children and called Council their home for 14 years. Elaine and Ed purchased land in Mesa where the family built the house that Elaine made their home for the last 39 years. Elaine worked for 10 years at the Council School District, and then retired after 32 years working for OK's Cascade Co.Elaine was preceded in death by her mother, father, one sister and two brothers. She leaves behind her husband, Ed, two sons, Victor and Douglas, a daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and Dale Wilson, and eight grandchildren and their spouses.Elaine was a faithful Christian who loved God and was loved by God. She was a member of Indian Valley Community Church and enjoyed singing hymns. One of her greatest joys was when she and Ed and were baptized together. Elaine was happiest when she gathered together with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother - always doting on her children and grandchildren and showing interest in what they were doing. Mom daily exhibited the fruit of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness. She would like to be remembered for her love of the Lord, Jesus Christ, and her ability to make sure no one left her home hungry. "I looked upon life as if writing a novel. Different stages in my life would end as I started a new chapter. Death is not the final chapter of the book. Instead, death is followed with a comma, not a period."This is the day the Lord has made;We will rejoice and be glad in it.Psalm 118:24
