Bruce Wayne Wilhelmsen, known as "Wayne" was a kind hearted man, He was born April 2, 1945 in Montpelier, Idaho to Bruce and Meredith Rich Wilhelmsen. Wayne attended grade school in Malta, and Burley, Idaho. The family later moved to Pendleton, Oregon where he attended Junior High School and High School. Wayne served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Colorado Denver Mission from September 1964 to September 1966. He attended Brigham Young University where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He worked for Author Young and Co. right out of college, as a CPA. He later worked for Wood Grain Molding in Fruitland, Idaho, where he spent the remainder of his working career with various positions.Wayne married Marilyn Anderson in the Logan Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1969. They were blessed with a daughter Janelle (Wilton) and a son Sherred. Marilyn and Wayne were later divorced.Wayne married Janice Sherrod Humphries in the Oakland California Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1976. Janice brought two children to the marriage, daughter Julie (Westcott) and son Jeremy [deceased], whom he was blessed to adopt and raise as his own. Wayne and Jan had three boys together: Caylin Jarell, and Kyle who brought much added joy to their lives. Jan and Wayne were later divorced.Wayne married Linda Jean Higham Wilhelmsen December 29, 2006. Linda's seven children: Kimberly (Bailey), Jason, Travis, Ryan, Joshua, Sara (Blacker), Daniel became Wayne's stepchildren. They helped their mother take care of Wayne as he declined from Cadasil disease. Wayne and Linda together have 46 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.Wayne served in several leadership positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved music, riding dirt bikes, hunting and golfing, but most of all he loved being with his family.Wayne passed away peacefully on July 13, 2021, surrounded by his wife Linda and family. He died from natural causes. He is survived by his wife Linda Wilhelmsen; sons: Sherred, Caylin, Jerrel, Kyle; daughters Julie Westcott and Janelle Wilton; his sisters Raneil Dunn and Carla Lamph; Linda's children; and many nieces and nephews. Would like to give special recognition to his sister-in-law, Wanda Wilhelmsen who lovingly took care of his younger brother, Alan Wilhelmsen who passed away in 2019.A graveside service will be held at 1 PM, Monday, July 19, at the St. Charles Cemetery located at 235 300 South, St Charles, Idaho. A viewing will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 PM Saturday, July 17, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd in Nampa.
