Sandra Bailey, born Sandra Hurd in Green River, Wyoming on April 6, 1944, passed away peacefully in the hospital on September 23, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was the only daughter of six children born to DeLos and Gean Hurd. Much of her young life was spent in the Boise area. As an older teenager she and her family moved to the farm in Wilder. She married Ron Goff and together they had and raised three boys, while farming in the Homedale/Wilder and Eastern Oregon areas. She also became a CNA during this time. After her divorce she continued working in the nursing field. She moved to Seattle where she worked primarily in nursing homes and worked end of life care. She was well respected and loved in the Jewish community, which most of her patients were from. After being in Seattle for a while she met and married Dale Dean Bailey. Sadly, they were only able to spend a few short years together before he passed. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale Bailey, her middle son Aaron Ronald (Ronnie) Goff, both her parents DeLos and Gean Hurd, three brothers DeRay, ValJean and Glen Hurd. She is survived by her two brothers Roger and MKay, two sons Frances and Robert, their wives Sharon and Carolyn, nine grandchildren David, Rachel, Joshua, Rebecca, Amie and her husband Jeff , Samantha, Carrie, Amanda and her husband Randy and Heather, Five great grandchildren Jessica, Caleb, Erica, Gabriel and Colten, and one great great grandchild Jordan. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Melba cemetery in Melba, ID on November 4th at 11 AM with a luncheon to follow at the Melba senior center. Lunch will be provided but please feel free to bring your favorite dish.
