Linda Lue Ireland, 77, of Nampa passed away on December 26, 2020 at her home among family and friends. Linda was born May 28, 1943 in Rigby, Idaho to Arthur and Ruby Montague, both native Idahoans. On December 29, 1962, in Idaho Falls, Linda married husband John A. Ireland Jr. who was serving in the Navy. Consequently, she traveled the nation with her husband's assignments. She had two sons, John III (57) and Matthew (51). Linda spent 17 years at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, California where she was an officer in the Navy Officers Wives Club as well as Treasurer of the Vallejo Symphony League. She also served as Contributing Editor for the weekly "Navy Page" in the Vallejo Times-Herald Newspaper. Linda enjoyed arts and crafts as a hobby and for profit as manager of a flower shop and gift store in San Diego, California. Linda's gift for home improvement and landscaping prevailed at every home in which she lived. Linda is survived by her brothers Bob and Terry; her husband John Jr.; sons John III, and Matthew; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
