Steven Earl Cnossen, age 78, went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2022. Interment with military honors will be conducted at the Idaho State Veteran's Cemetery on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Steven Earl Cnossen was born May 20, 1943, in Bremerton, Washington, the son of Owen Cnossen and Rose (Loesche) Cnossen. The family moved to West Linn, Oregon where he was raised and graduated from high school in 1961. He served in the Army from 1961- 1966 working with Nike Hercules Missiles. He went on to work for Pacific Northwest Bell as a lineman and moved into the ESS Switch office, retiring in 2005. During his career for the phone company, he enlisted in the Oregon Air National Guard's 116th Air Control Squadron (ACS) as a Mobile Tactical Radar Maintenance Technician. He retired as a Master Sergeant in 1997. He married Martha Lopez and they cherished 55 years together. He enjoyed the outdoors and liked to hunt, fish and hike. He is survived by his wife Martha; daughter Dale French and her husband, Blake; and son Daryle Cnossen. He is also survived by 4 grandsons and 3 granddaughters; 3 great-grandsons and 3 great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 granddaughter, and 1 great-granddaughter.
