Dave was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, one of six siblings. He joined the Navy during the Viet Nam War and was assigned to the U.S. Kitty Hawk Aircraft carrier from March 18, 1964, to June 12, 1968. He was with the National Guard for six months and the Army Medical Unit for one and a half years. Dave attended Chiropractic College in Los Angeles, CA and two years at the University of Utah and BYU, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married LaRae Zaloznik on May 27, 1970, in Salt Lake City. They had three sons: Dion, David and Dan. The family moved to Oregon, and it was there that they met the Lord on January 12, 1978 and trusted Him as their Savior and Lord. Dave was licensed in Health and Life insurance but worked mostly as a contractor. Dave died peacefully at home after a long illness on September 29, 2021. He is survived by his wife LaRae; his three sons: Dion, David and Dan; granddaughters Michelle of Nampa and Ashley (Alix) Woken; and a great-grandson Fox Woken all of Las Vegas, NV; his sisters Marilyn (Vinnie) Pisani of Montana and Barb (Roger) Bangerter of Utah; brother Sonny (Margi) Hickman; and many nieces and nephews.
