Lorraine May Towns, 76, of Kennebunk, Maine, passed away after a short battle of cancer on June 4, 2018 in Boise, Idaho.A graveside service will be held 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 8 at the Melba Cemetery on Baseline Road in Melba, Idaho Lorraine was born in Richmond, Maine to Ernest and Grace Chapman on February 7, 1942. She grew up and went to school in Portland, Maine. She married George David Towns on July 6, 1960 in Portland, Maine. They had two children Georgie (little 5 pounder) and Pammy May. She loved to travel and gamble at the casinos. She worked as a Laundry attendant for The Village Cove Inn in Kennebunk Port, Maine for many years.Lorraine was preceded in death by her mother Grace Loretta Chapman; father Ernest Milton Chapman; three brothers: Winnie Murray, Ernest Chapman Jr, Gus Chapman; one sister, Grace Vance.Lorraine is survived by spouse George David Towns; son George David Towns Jr; daughter Pamela May Dille (Lloyd); five grandsons: Joey Towns, John Strout Jr (Ashley), Jeffery Towns, Kenny Dille, Nicholas Towns; four granddaughters: Kimberly Strout-Leeper, Jennifer Strout, Michelle Abare (Colin), Kalee Rayl (Jesse); 14 great-grandchildren; brothers Eddie Chapman (Addie) and Ralph; sister Loretta McAfee (Ralph).The family of Lorraine wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Nurse Robert, Dr. Patel and all of the medical staff who helped keep Lorraine comfortable during her last few days of life at St. Alphonsus Medical Centers in Nampa and Boise, ID.
