Lillian Fae Roberts was born August 17, 1941 in St. George, Utah to Irvin Alldredge and Dorothy Lillian Young. She was blessed with 8 siblings: Irvin K Alldredge (Stillborn), Clifford (Marilyn) Alldredge, Cleora (Ralph) Webb, Laverna (Dahl) Zohner, Donna (Elwin) Jones, Marie (Neal) Biggs, Betty (Ken) Booth and Marietta Alldredge.Mother had a magical childhood in Southern Utah where she played 'Kick the Can,' made endless mudpies and also invented a game she called 'Lazy Liza Lizard' which involved stealing said mudpies without getting caught. This seems a scandalous activity for a squeaky-clean girl who was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! Fae would later serve two LDS missions, the first, in her youth, to Northern California and the second, only a few years ago, to the Missouri, Jackson County area.Between those two missions, she met and was sealed to Clyde Anthony Roberts in the St. George Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on December 14, 1968. In the following years, they had 7 children, moved to Washington state, farmed thousands of acres of sugar beets, made and lost a life altering fortune, created, built and ran 'Tony's Place' (a restaurant that was very nearly named 'Squat & Gobble' if it hadn't been for mother's good sense), moved to Idaho, farmed more sugar beets, and traded a house they left behind in WA for a 60 head pig farm. A major heart attack later, they moved to a new home south of Kuna where hopes of a new fortune were forged in an onion-fed sheep ranch and a shoe-string Labradoodle Breeding concern. During these years, mother dusted off her teaching degree, went back to school, graduated, and began teaching special ed preschool and kindergartners for the Kuna School district where she stayed for two decades. After a move to the Apple Valley area, north of Parma, Idaho, she taught music at Payette elementary until her retirement in 2015.Throughout her life, Fae was supportive of her husband and children, being unfailingly kind, cheerful, and friendly. During her prime years she was courageous, friendly, loyal and undaunted. She accepted her challenges and faced them bravely and diligently, embodying the ideal of a 'Latter-Day Saint' through her gifts of patience, love and kindness making life-long friendships every place she lived and served. Her true loves in life are her children and grandchildren. Even during the busy work of raising children, supporting her husband and serving her community, she managed to create extraordinary experiences for her family. When her grandkids were small, she would invite them over for a 'Teddy Bear Picnic' and lead them in songs and games surrounded by dozens of thrift store teddy bears. Cinnamon Bears and Teddy grahams were plentiful. Another popular creation was the Roberts Family Carnival, complete with face painting, fish pond, jungle train rides & wild cardboard animals, clowns and cotton candy. She was gifted in her creativity and capacity to accomplish. We miss her terribly and while our lives are dimmer for her passing, we are the richer for her having lived for she has given us a hope in Christ and the knowledge that we shall see her again. She was preceded in death and welcomed home by her parents; four siblings; and husband. She is survived by four siblings; her seven children: Carl (Hilarie) Roberts, Kimberly (Troy) Coats, Jennifer (Gerald) Lee, Melanie (Kurt) Beus, Cindy (Steve) Kaylor, Margo (Steve) Butler and Chad (Michelle) Roberts; 28 grandchildren: Truman (Ellenea), Redmond, Hudson, Scarlett, Eden, Derek, Brennan (Jamie), Dylan, Audrey, Kendrick, Kayen, Julian, Adriah, Lilliah, Baily (Dakota), Jaden (Daniel), Rylie, Stetson, Bronson, Dodson, JR, Lexington, Stanton, Bennett, Davis, Samuel, Noah and Eliyahna; and four great-grandchildren: Isla, Laiken, Aurora and Lydia.
