Edward Leroy Eagans

Edward (Eddy) LeRoy Eagans, 78, passed away on April 9, 2018 in Caldwell, Idaho. Eddy was the first-born child of Hollis James Eagans and Eunice Lorene Eagans. He was born on April 2, 1940 in Dora, Missouri. When Eddy was 11 his family moved from Dora, Missouri to Caldwell, Idaho. At the age of 17, Eddy joined the Army and became a Military Police Officer. In 1960 he married the love of his life, Lynda Faye Rogers in Caldwell, Idaho. Following his military career, Eddy served in many police departments including Caldwell, Nampa and Rupert. Eddy also served as a Deputy Sheriff in Humboldt County, in Eureka, California. After a career in law enforcement he served for the US Marshall's Office in Boise, Idaho. Eddy went on to become a property assessor for Canyon County in Caldwell, Idaho and Ada County in Boise, Idaho. After retiring from being a property assessor, Eddy helped manage Silver Crest Estates I and II in Nampa, Idaho. Eddy enjoyed many hobbies over his life including oil painting, woodworking and poetry. He enjoyed sharing his artwork with those he loved. Eddy was a true family man who loved his wife, his children and his grandchildren. Vacations were a favorite time for Eddy and Lynda, they enjoyed many trips with their children and grandchildren. Eddy's true passion was involvement in the lives of his grandchildren and he enjoyed his great grandchildren as the family grew. Eddy had a love for God, family and country. He taught his family to respect the United States of America and the American Flag. He loved Eagles and the freedom they stand for. Eddy will be missed by his family and has left them with a legacy of love and respect for each other. Eddy is survived by his wife, Lynda Faye Eagans; his children: Daughter, Julie (Norm) Corder and their son, Brian (Amy) Corder, Kailyn, their daughter, Nicole (Brady) Pierce, Sophie. Son, Kenny (Jennifer) Eagans, their son Dustin (Tanya) Eagans, Addilyn, their daughter, Brianna (Nate) Birdsall, Carter and Emma, their son, Ryan Eagans. Roger (Christine) Eagans, their son, Cameron (Alli) Eagans, their son, Cameron Dill, their daughter, Sarah (David Kirby) Eagans, their daughter, Sabryna (Neiko Lambert) Fairbanks, Greyson, their daughter, Lorraine Eagans. Eddy is also survived by 5 sisters, 1 brother and numerous loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Pauline Sue Eagans/Olson and his brother Leon Eagans who passed away April 6, 2018. Funeral Services are scheduled, Monday, April 16, 2018 Viewing - 1:30pm-2:30pm - Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd, Nampa, ID Graveside Service - 3:30 p.m. -- Hillcrest Memorial Garden, Karcher Rd/Hwy 55 & Indiana, Caldwell, ID 4:00pm - Family & Friends are invited to share memories and a light dinner at Silver Crest Estates II Clubhouse, 1100 Burnett Dr, Nampa, ID.
