Sharon Evans Belnap, 80, of Nampa passed away December 5, 2020 after a long battle with dementia. She passed at her home. Sharon was born December 13, 1939 in Logan, Utah and lived in Utah until she was about six years old when her parents, Dean and Bernice Evans, moved to a farm, situated on the northwest corner of Amity and Ten Mile, outside of Meridian, Idaho. She grew up with three brothers: Bruce, Brent and Robert. After graduating from Meridian High School she entered Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where she met her future husband. Sharon married Harold Lynn Belnap in the Idaho Falls Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, August 29, 1962. The Belnap family lived in Utah in the cities of Provo, Bountiful, Farmington, Logan and Brigham City before moving to Lewiston, Idaho in the fall of 1974. The family remained in Lewiston for 32 years. In 2006 Lynn and Sharon moved to North Logan, Utah. They served a genealogical records preservation mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Independence, Missouri for one year (2011-2012). They were back in North Logan until October 31, 2012 when they moved to their last home in Nampa, Idaho.Sharon experienced many difficulties that gave her a special empathy for persons with burdens. In this, she followed the example and teachings of Jesus Christ. She liked to tell jokes and had a keen wit and sense of humor. She never allowed herself or her family members to talk very long about sad or negative things. She was a talented seamstress and made clothing for her children. She worked as a proficient medical transcriptionist and she did transcription of patriarchal blessings for many years. She loved music. She was a pianist, a chorister, a writer of road shows and she sang with women's quartets. She loved playing softball in her younger years and encouraged her children in sports. Sharon is survived by her husband; two brothers (Brent and Robert Evans); her children: Lisa Lewis (Brett), Linda Miller (Lee), Dan (Melanie), Mary Davenport, David (Josi), Ben (Katrinka), Kristin Peterson (Nathan); 34 grandchildren; 15 great- grands. They cherish the memory of her loving care and sacrifice on their behalf.
