NAMPA - Donald "Don" Leon Wells, 83, of Nampa, ID, died Saturday, October 29, 2022 of natural causes.Please join us for a graveside service on Saturday, November 5 at the Kuna Cemetery at 11:00 am. This will be followed immediately with a Celebration of Life at the Kuna LDS Stake Center, 3305 W Kuna Road, Kuna, Idaho.Don was born October 1, 1939 in Nampa, Idaho, son of Richard "Dick" Wells and Glennis Johnson Wells. He grew up in Kuna, Idaho on a dairy farm where he learned many lifelong skills and the value of hard work. Don graduated from Kuna High School, studied at the University of Idaho, and ultimately graduated from Boise State College.On June 10,1961, Don married Dorothy Rea, and together they had two children, Bryan and Stacey. On August 27, 1967, he married Judy Trenhaile. They became inseparable and shared an incredible life. Together they enjoyed numerous activities including traveling with the Valley Corvette Club. They also loved participating in car and truck shows throughout the western states. As a profession, he was a long haul truck driver.Don had a great passion for restoring trucks, such as his prizewinning '56 GMC Cameo Pickup "Ol' Red" and his Chevy Suburban "Moby". He also had a great love for flying and airplanes in general. He obtained his pilot's license in his twenties and for decades enjoyed soaring the skies in his Piper Pacer "Charlie".Survivors include his wife Judy; his son Bryan, grandson Robert (Sandra), and great grandchildren Anna and Nico; and his daughter Stacey and grandson Zachary. Siblings include Dale (Judy), Arnette (Ross) Johnson, and sister-in-law Nancy (David) Call, along with numerous nieces and nephews.Don is preceded in death by his parents and brother Dennis.
