Lee Edgar Jameson, passed away on May 22, 2022 at the age of 83, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. He was born in Hooker, Oklahoma on July 26, 1938 to Burman and Grace Jameson. He was one of 3 boys. Lee grew up in Oklahoma before living in Seattle, WA; Melba, ID; Canyon, TX; and finally settling in Nampa, ID in 1984. Lee started his family with his first wife, Bobby having 3 children; Charles, Michael and Sandra. With the kids he moved to Nampa and met/married Mary and added 3 more girls to the family; Donna, Venita and Becky. After Mary passed away he met his "last love", Delores and they married in 1992. Lee was a jack-of-all-trades: mechanic, farmer, truck driver, entrepreneur with several business including Dairy King (anyone want a space burger?), Great American Video and multiple properties. He was a hard worker and always did what he needed to do to make sure his family was provided for. He was a well-known and respected member of the community. He had an uncanny ability to find happiness in his daily activities and was always on the go. Rest was not in is vocabulary of life. He loved his '70 Chevelle and numerous Corvettes. He traveled near and far with family in one of his many motorhomes having a "honky-tonk" good time. Whether it be amusement parks, sight-seeing or even just camping, he loved being on the road. In fact, if it was up to him he would have been driving cross-county in a motorhome up to the end in his journey of life. Family members will cherish his BIG hugs, floppy hats, and smiling face on a sunny day as he sat on the red swing talking and telling stories. He was a gentle giant, hero and a big teddy bear who had no problem holding you accountable when he thought it was needed. He had a big heart and was always willing to help no matter what you needed but you could never repay him or do anything for him. Lee was the best caretaker anyone could ask for. He had a gift for knowing just how to mend and heal our hurts. His strong rough hands would turn into tender gentle loving hands in an instant to remove slivers when we were children and care for us after surgery, even as adults. He has set our expectations high for when we need care or when we are giving care to others. We often say, "That's not how Daddy does it." He always took good care of Delores. He however was a very strong willed man and did not take his own advice. Nothing was going to slow him down. He was proceeded in death by his father, mother, 2 brothers, 1 son, previous wife Mary, and a grandchild. Lee is survived by his wife, Delores; a son, Michael (Mindi) Jameson; daughters, Sandra (Tony) Bradshaw, Donna (Ed) Bittick, Venita Jameson, Becky Jameson; 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.A graveside memorial will be held at 11:00am on May 31, 2022 at Melba Cemetery, 7205 Baseline Road Melba, Idaho.
