Jack R. Norton 83, of Nampa, Idaho passed away peacefully from this life to the next on March 1, 2022. He was surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jack was born July 6, 1938, in Chandler, Arizona. He was the youngest child of six children born to Hyrum Lewis Norton and Pearl Echols Norton. When Jack was about ten years old, he moved with his family from Arizona to Weiser, Idaho, where he went to school and worked on their farm with his father. Jack served his country in the United States Air Force. After he got out, he went into trade school and became a journeyman electrician. Jack married Debra Aten, his wife and eternal companion of 40 years in the Idaho Falls Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jack was a devoted and loving husband and father to his wife and their 11 children. He was always grateful for his posterity. Jack's greatest love, next to his family, was the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jack served the Savior faithfully in many capacities, including serving as a temple worker in the Boise Idaho Temple. In his passing, we know his reunion was filled with unspeakable joy as he embraced those he loved and had missed in this life. Dad felt sadness as he knew he would leave family and so many loved ones behind. We know we will see Dad and join him again as a family to be together forever. We love you Dad! Funeral services will be on Monday, March 7, 2022, at the Parma Ward Chapel, 307 E Andrews Ave., Parma, Idaho 83660. There will be a viewing from 11:30 to 12:15 with services to follow.
