Jane Ritchie Marsh

Jane was born June 28, 1938, in Glenside, Pennsylvania. She earned her Registered Nurse degree from Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing in 1958 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Washington in 1965. Her nursing experience included emergency room, regular hospital care, oncology care, family practice, and various areas of public health including service to seniors, school health programs, mothers and infants, early childhood development, and vaccinations. Jane personally accepted Jesus Christ as Lord at a church camp in 1963 and loved Him from then on, dedicating herself to participation and leadership in many areas of church life including children's ministries, Christian education, prayer, and Bible study groups. Two roles in life were of utmost importance to Jane: wife and mother. She was wholly committed to her husband, providing support, encouragement, and help in any way she could imagine. Equally so was her giving heart for her children, giving the nourishment and encouragement to ensure they were equipped for lives of service to God, country, and family. Jane was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in December of 2013, finally going to her eternal home on January 18, 2018. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Allen Marsh, by their two children Deborah Carter and David Marsh, by her older sister Mae Gardner, and her younger brother Burt Ritchie. All glory goes to God for a full, fruitful life that continues to have a great impact on the world. Incidentally, Jane asked that memorials be given to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society (www.nationalmssociety.org/Donate) Or The Gideons International (www.sendtheword.org)
