Rees Bismark "Buzz" Walther

Buzz (Rees) Walther passed away on April 2, 2015, at his home in Melba, Idaho due to natural causes. He was born June 25, 1938, to Bismark and Eula (Berry) Walther in Winnemucca, Nevada. He was the 8th of nine children. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and three siblings: Edith, Evelyn and Jerry. Buzz is survived by his wife Wendy (Galloway) Walther and his two children Lisa Flores Walther and Clinton Walther. He is also survived by siblings Katherine (Bob) Deonier, Marion Walther, Juanita Ramsay, Sharon Jenkins and Gloria Robbins along with many nephew and nieces. Buzz worked in construction and as a horse shoeer (ferrier) for many years in the Treasure Valley. His last years were spent as a farmer, a vocation he dearly loved. He and Wendy, his wife of 15 years, lived, worked and farmed at Reynolds Creek and Melba. He especially loved working the rodeos as a member of the Idaho Cowboy Association. His events were calf roping and steer roping. He won many championships and owned and trained champion quarter horses. A barbeque and potluck will be held in honor of Buzz at 1113 Canyon Road South, Melba, Idaho 83641 on April 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Also, a barbeque and potluck will be held at the Community Hall in Oreana, ID on May 2nd at 1 P.M.
