On Wednesday March 2, 2022 Donald James Russell Senior "Don", age 85, joined his beloved wife Carol for eternity, where she had been "keeping his seat warm" since October. Don is survived by his children: Dawn Daleene Russell, Kathie (Tom) Mower, Susan Russell, Donald James "Rusty" (Kathy) Russell Jr and Steven (Celeste) Russell and his stepchildren Scott (Stacey) Ellibee and Mindy (Jody) Mitchell. As well as 21 grandchildren, 15 1/2 great grandchildren and a brother William "Bill" Russell. He is preceded in death by his wife Carol Ann Moses Russell, his parents Herbert James and Evelyn Mary Verney Russell as well as his brothers Kenneth and Gerald Russell. Don was born on July 16, 1936 in Montpelier, Vermont to Herbert J. and Evelyn M. Russell. His mother died when he was 12 years old and he was raised by his father and 2 aunts in Vermont, New York and then Flagstaff Arizona where he started a family and became a journeyman electrician. Don had a passion for guns and he graduated from gunsmith school in 1970. He moved to Parma, Idaho in 1978 and started Woodland electric. It was a great source of pride for Don that he was able to help many others into electrical careers. It was while he was living in Parma that he met the love of his life Carol. They were married July 17, 1992 and were able to enjoy many years together. Don was a social, active man who had a deep and abiding love for Christ and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His family and friends will always remember him for his sense of humor and love of storytelling.
