Arden Lee Carpenter

Arden Lee Carpenter, 82, of Nampa passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 at his home of natural causes. "Lee" was born January 31, 1936 in Hemlock, West Virginia to Hoy and Kathleen (Zickafoose) Carpenter. He was the second oldest in the family. Lee grew up in Hemlock, West Virginia and attended schools in that area. Lee served in the U.S. Air Force and became an aircraft mechanic. He received several awards and recognitions for his work on military aircraft. He had hobbies that dealt with airplanes and motorcycles. He had a great love and concern for his family and was especially proud of his son and daughter. Lee was preceded in death by his parents; brothers John and Kecil; and sister Rosalie. He is survived by his daughter Debra (Lannie) Frost of Nampa; son Steven (Peggy) Carpenter of Purdy, Missouri; 7 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers: Jim, Roger, Wayne, Ralph, Lonzo and Freeman; sisters Gertrude, Faye and Maryann. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 25, at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 Horseshoe Bend Rd in Boise. A memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 3 at the Mount Olive Church in Hemlock, West Virginia. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Local Humane Society.
