Patricia Ann Telford, 82, of Boise, Idaho passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 of natural causes. Pat was born January 1, 1935 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Harold Sidney and Ruth Lydia Belle (Williams) Kappen. She was the youngest of her 3 siblings: Ruth Elaine (B J) Summerlin, Harold Junior (Peggy) Kappen and Donnabelle Kappen. Her early schooling was in Grand Island, Nebraska and eventually in Huntington, Oregon where she graduated from high school in 1953. She married Carlos Leroy Telford on June 18, 1954.They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 29, 1964. They were blessed with two children, Larry Neil (Zoe) and Pamela Rae. Pat was a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was baptized on August 5, 1961. She served in stake and ward Relief Society Presidencies, in the Primary and worked with the youth. She loved her Heavenly Father and sought His guidance throughout her life. Pat was a very creative person and always enjoyed bringing out and seeing the beauty that was hidden beneath the surface of everything. She loved antiques and enjoyed making her home beautiful with interesting things that she found on her many treasure hunts. After many years of illness, her family is comforted in knowing she is finally free from pain and sickness, and that she has been reunited with her husband. Pat is survived by her children Larry and Pam; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; and husband of 63 years, Carlos. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 28 at the LDS Church, 2650 S. Five Mile Rd in Boise with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
