Robert Carl Sears, 79, passed away October 23, 2014 in Nampa, Idaho. Robert was born November 5, 1934 in Watsonville, California to Carl E. and Francis Sears. While he was a child they moved to Idaho. He graduated from Nampa High in 1952 and attended College of Idaho where he played basketball. In 1954 Robert entered the U.S. Army. After his discharge Robert held numerous important jobs such as National Water Assoc., Irrigation and Water Rights, Cattlemans Assoc., Simplot, Curtis Tool, Harrah's in Tahoe and others thru out his lifetime. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Francis Sears; sister Kay; grandson Tim Currel; three wives: Ida, Gretchen and Norma. He is survived by his ex-wife and good friend Olive Hopkins; daughters: Robin (Mike) DeLaPena of Nampa, Kay (Robert) Rockwell of Lincoln City, OR, Fonnie Jolyne (Rick) Croslin of Sanora, CA and Lawana Sears of CA; stepdaughters Nancy Otterson and Anne Schenk; stepson Peter Echols; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 1, at the Nampa East Stake Center, 3904 Greenhurst Rd, Nampa. A viewing will be held at the church from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, prior to the services. A family luncheon will follow the services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Cloverdale Cemetery, 1200 N. Cloverdale RD, Boise.
