Duane A. Eastman passed away March 8, 2016 in Nampa at the age of 81. He was born in Nampa on November 2, 1934 to C.W. "Nig" and Evelyn Eastman. Duane spent his school years in Nampa and graduated from Nampa High School in 1952. Soon after high school Duane contracted polio. He delayed furthering his education due to the disease and spent many months in and out of hospitals and care centers. Over the next few years Duane attended several colleges. It was during this time that nervous disorders and mental health issues began to surface from which he never recovered. Duane was unable to live independently throughout adulthood and after many years at the family home entered the Idaho State Health and Welfare residential care system. His last place of residence was Trinity Mission Health and Rehab where he eventually passed away. He is survived by a brother, Tom in Spokane, WA: two cousins Janis Batey and Vonnie Shell of Nampa. He will be interred at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell.
