Gayle Bowden, 81, passed away peacefully, December 6, 2015 at his home in Middleton. He was born October 19, 1934 in Moore, Idaho to Lawrance and Anna Bowden. He had four brothers: Stanley, Elmo, Larry (Jay), Claire, and four sisters; Jean, Beverly, Nona, and Bonita. He attended schools in Moore, Arco, and Mackay, Idaho and was an airman with the United States Air Force from 1955 through 1958 when he met and married his Wife of 56 years, Gwenn. They were married October 18, 1958 and had four sons and two daughters. After living in Arco for many years, where he owned and operated a bulk milk business, contracted to Kraft, the family moved to Payette, Nampa, and ultimately Middleton, Idaho, where he resided for the last 14 years. Gayle is survived by a sister, Nona Farmer (Tony) of Arco, ID; sons: Andy Bowden of Fruitland, ID, Grant (Maureen) Bowden of Syracuse, UT, Jeff (Angela) Bowden of Meridian, ID, Rick Bowden of Ontario, OR; and daughter Diana Bowden of Nampa, ID; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Gayle was preceded in death by his wife Gwen; parents; seven brothers and sisters; and daughter Susan. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 11, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd, Nampa. 467-7300. A viewing will be held at the chapel at 10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
