W. Corene Brannen, 83, passed away from heart failure on November 2, 2017. Youngest of three daughters, she was born on January 16, 1934, in Williamsburg, Kentucky, to Phebe Ann (Angel) and Albert John Jones. Before moving to Nampa, Idaho, Corene primarily lived in California, Florida, and Tennessee. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, R. Wesley Brannen; her children: Gwen (Jerry) Bishop of Round Rock, TX; Steven (Darlene) Brannen of San Jose, CA; and Scott (Shelly) Brannen of Marsing, ID; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and others that she loved like her own. Corene dedicated her life to loving and caring for other people and animals and will be carried in our hearts and memories forever.Corene was supportive of, and passionately interested in, the lives of her family and friends. She was meticulous, creative, resourceful, and crafty; somehow passing down her talents and values to so many of the lives she touched. After moving to Idaho, she, in partnership with her husband, was able to achieve her life-long goal of owning her own business. Together they ran a second-hand/re-use store in Nampa, called "His 'n' Hers," where she mended and laundered clothes to provide for customers, regardless of their ability to pay. She had the best smelling laundry ever. The family will be celebrating her life in private, and requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your favorite local animal shelter. Memories and condolences may be shared with Corene's family on her tribute wall webpage at www.zeyerfuneralchapel.com.
