Helen Carol Bird Bryson, 82, passed away peacefully Friday, June 10, 2016, at her home in Middleton surrounded by her loved ones. Helen was born December 24, 1933 to Floyd Henry and Josephine Hickenlooper Bird in Salt Lake City, Utah. She grew up in Woods Cross, Utah and graduated from Davis High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Wallace Glover Bryson on June 6, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They have shared 64 years of life together. Shortly after getting married they moved to France while Wallace served in the US Army. Following their time in the service, they moved to Idaho. They began farming in the Caldwell area before moving to Nampa where they continued to farm for several years. They sold the farm and bought the Nampa Dairy Queen. Together they owned and operated several drive-ins while raising their family. In 1988 they moved to Middleton to make their home. Helen loved her Heavenly Father and had a strong testimony. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings throughout her life. She always loved music and performing. She had a beautiful voice and was called upon often to share her talent. She was also known for the many poems she wrote. Her heart was pure and kind. She always looked for the best in people. Her greatest joy came from being with her family. Helen is survived by her husband, Wallace Glover Bryson and eight children: Randy (Madge) Bryson, Kipton (Sabrina) Bryson, Shannon (Diane) Bryson, Tamera (Ralph) Thornley, Tina (David) Clark, Lane (Edmae) Bryson, Timothy (Cathy) Bryson, Heidi (Brent) Bunger; 33 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; brother Floyd (Kathy) Bird, and sister Janet Anderson. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, June 17, at the LDS Chapel, 22500 Lansing Lane, in Middleton, Idaho. Viewing will be held at the church from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Friday prior to the services. Internment at Middleton Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Zeyer Funeral Chapel.
