Charles Herbert Crawford (1933 - 2018) Charles Herbert Crawford 84, of Caldwell, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018. Condolences may be expressed at zeyerfuneralchapel.com Charles was born November 4, 1933, in Willow Springs, Missouri, a son of Charles Leslie Crawford and Nancy Irene Wake. He had 4 brothers and 4 sisters all of Missouri. He is survived by his youngest sister, Kathy (Wayne) Renegar, who still resides in Missouri. Charles met Luevon Seiber and they were married October 4, 1954 in Willow Springs, Missouri. They moved to Idaho in 1956 where Charles worked several farm hand jobs and at Williamsons Orchards for 20 years and most recently at Symms Fruit Ranch for the past 10 years. Charles & Luevon relocated the family to the Oregon coast in 1985 but the lure of Idaho proved too strong and they returned in 1993. Charles worked for Hoy Brothers Fish & Crab Co. in Garibaldi the entire time they lived on the coast. He loved to work and just loved being outside. He couldn't sit still for five minutes in the house without saying, it was time to get back outside and work. When Charles was younger, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. During the past years he's also enjoyed taking trips to Jackpot, Wendover, etc. and playing slot machines for fun. Never at a loss for words and willing to strike up a conversation with anyone, he was liked by all and loved by many. He is survived by his wife, Luevon Crawford of Caldwell, sons David (Patsy), James and Brian all of Caldwell; two daughters Cheryl (Terry) Taggart and Melissa (Garry) Shirley both of Nampa. Charles had many grandchildren and great grandchildren that he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters, his son Larry Crawford and grandson Michel.
